Applications

• Exclusive breastfeeding is recommended for the first 6 months of life.

Cautions

• Babies may develop a flow preference if using an SNS.

The use of breastmilk substitutes may impact your breastmilk supply.

It may be possible to re-lactate if your baby has transitioned to breastmilk substitutes, however, this can take time to re-build supply. Please seek support from an infant feeding specialist.
